Weekly Recap – Have a Wonderful Week! (May 28, 2017)

Hi guys, how are you? I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend. How was your week? I had a great one, reading wise. Thank you for those who share their monthly book budget last week. I got a lot of tips and have been encouraged to evaluate my own budgets. I’m planning to limit my purchases these upcoming months and focus on reading the ones I’ve already purchased or got for reviews. Last week on the blog: I read two books last week and enjoyed both of them. I’ve just discovered a wonderful author, A. Zavarelli. You might already be familiar with her books, she was a totally new author to me when I read Crow. I cannot recommend her series, Boston Underworld, more. Seriously, it is awesome. I’m currently reading book 2 and cannot put it down. Book Review – Ruckus (Sinners of Saint #2) […]

However, it will be best to read in order to understand the whole story since both are interconnected stories.  ”I should probably get one thing out of the way before we begin. My story? It doesn’t have a happy ending. It won’t. It can’t. No. matter how tall or handsome or rich and captivating my Prince Charming might be… Only problem was he wasn’t really mine. He was my sister’s. But there is something you should know before you judge me. I saw him first. I craved him first. I loved […]

Favorite Books that Made Me Laugh (Comedy Romance Books)

The books and/or series below are my list of favorites that made me laugh out loud. The ones that are suited to those who like comedy romance and who are looking for beach books. These kinds of books are the ones I usually prefer to read when I’m on the beach and in the mood for something light-hearted to enjoy while on vacation. As you can see, my list is pretty short since I don’t read many comedy romance books but I’m planning to in the futures. Please, recommend me some of your most favorites. I’m looking forward to reading more of this genre. Note that I haven’t reviewed most of these books since I’d read them way before I started blogging. In addition, this is also an ongoing list. I’ll add the new favorites whenever I finish reading them. Egomaniac by Vi Keeland – read my review […]

Favorite Series – The Others series by Anne Bishop

This series was the first paranormal romance I read in a long time and it is AWESOME. I needed some getting used to when I started but I enjoyed it. I’ve read the first two books and am planning on reading the rest as soon as possible. If you are a big fan of paranormal or urban fantasy romance, this series should be your next read if you haven’t read it yet. About Book 1: As a cassandra sangue, or blood prophet, Meg Corbyn can see the future when her skin is cut—a gift that feels more like a curse. Meg’s Controller keeps her enslaved so he can have full access to her visions. But when she escapes, the only safe place Meg can hide is at the Lakeside Courtyard—a business district operated by the Others. Shape-shifter Simon Wolfgard is reluctant to hire the stranger who inquires […]

Weekly Recap – Monthly Budgets for Books (May 21, 2017)

Hi everyone, how are you? I hope you’re all enjoying this weekend. I had a wonderful week and did have a great reading time. I hope you did too. I want to give an update on my reading progress. Do you have a monthly budget for books? I read mostly ebooks (kindle) these days. They are cheaper and easy to carry, but my one-click habit has been out of control these last few months. I have so many books I’ve purchased that I’m not sure I’ll manage to read. They’re just sitting on my kindle and waiting for my attention. As a slow reader who has limited time to read, I’m struggling to read more than two books a week. So I’m planning to limit my monthly budgets by choosing the books I’m really interested in reading. The books I list below are just some of […]

Weekly Recap – NetGalley and Books I Received & Bought (May 14, 2017)

Hi everyone, how are you? I hope you are doing great and having a wonderful weekend. Last week was a good week for me. I made an account on NetGalley and got a book I requested. Thank you to all fellow book bloggers that have given me awesome advice about the site and how to use it. I’ve been extra careful when it comes to requesting books and only requested two books so far. I’m used to buying books based on recommendations from my trusted book bloggers and prefer that way. I do enjoy NetGalley but requesting books that weren’t recommended by book bloggers actually terrifies me. I’m afraid I’ll end up reading and reviewing the books I don’t like and getting burned out at the end because of it. I’m having a short trip to my hometown to visit my parents and sisters next week and […]
