Weekly Recap – Last Week Could Not Have Been Better (March 12, 2017)

Hi, thank you for stopping by. Welcome back to my weekly recap. I hope everyone had an awesome week. I did have a great week since all the books I read were awesome. Seriously, I couldn’t have asked for a better week. Everything in my real life was going great as well. I decide to be more selective on what I’m going to read and the best way I’ve learned so far was to ask my fellow book bloggers which books they recommend the most, instead of going blindly. I love experiencing “try and error” but when it comes to reading I want to enjoy every single book I read. Last Week On The Blog I read a fantastic New Adult Romance that I couldn’t put down and a very […]

Book Review – Venom & Ecstasy (Venom #2) by Shanora Williams

Genres: Adult, Contemporary Romance Standalone/Series: Series Published on: February 15, 2017 Pages: 248 Source: Purchased Rating: 4 STARS Buy on Amazon This is the second book in the Venom series wich picks up where Passion and Venom (book 1) left off. This is not a standalone. You need to read the previous book in order to follow this story. I normally hate cliffhangers, however, for some unknown reasons, I couldn’t help to read this series, even though I had to torture myself in the process. This story is not for everyone. In case you haven’t read my review for Passion and Venom yet, this series contains heavy subjects such as torture, rape, murder, kidnap, and manipulation. If you cannot deal with those subjects, don’t read this series. Stay away from it if you can. I’m a […]

Book Review – Passion & Venom (Venom #1) by Shanora Williams

Genres: Adult, Contemporary Romance Standalone/Series: Series Published on: September 13, 2016 Pages: 188 Source: Purchased Rating: 4.5 STARS Buy on Amazon When the author said “this is not for everyone,” I knew right away that this book was for me. I love books that will push my boundaries, drag me out of my comfort zone, and put me in a new level of intense book love. This book really did it to me. However, since it contains taboo and forbidden topics, it is NOT FOR EVERYONE. If you are sensitive to violence, rape, torture, abuse, blood and murder, please, don’t read this book. However, if you are open to the highly sensitive issues above, you can read the following. This story follows a newly married woman named Gianna Nicotera who has just married the […]

Favorite Series – The Renegades Series by Rebecca Yarros

I have a new favorite series that I highly recommend for those who love college romances. Each book can be read standalone, but it would be better to read them in order since the stories are interconnected. 😀 About Book 1: He’s Paxton Wilder. Twenty-two-year-old, tattooed, smoking-hot leader of the Renegades. Five time X Games medalist. The world is his playground—especially this year—and for the next nine months I’m stuck as his tutor on the Study at Sea program. He’s too busy staging worldwide stunts for his documentary to get to class. But if I can’t get him to take academics seriously, I’ll lose my scholarship…if I don’t lose my heart first. Six unlikely friends on a nine-month cruise with the Study at Sea program will learn that chemistry is more than a subject and […]

Weekly Recap – Last Week and February (March 5, 2017)

I didn’t have a great reading time last week. All of the books I’ve read and reviewed were way below my expectations. None of them really interested me, but I’m glad, at least, I managed to try new authors. My goal is to review at least three books a week and so far I’ve succeeded. Yay, so proud of it. I’m planning to join reading challenges this month, to motivate me to read more and engage with fellow book bloggers. What I read in February Besides the recap of last week’s reading activities, I want to share my February recap as well. In February I managed to review 12 books. 😀 Book Review – Preston’s Honor by Mia Sheridan – 3.5 stars Book Review – Don’t Speak (A Modern Fairytale) By […]

Book Review – Mister Wrong by Nicole Williams

Genres: Adult, Contemporary Romance Standalone/Series: Standalone Published on: February 25, 2017 Pages: 195 Source: Purchased Rating: 3 STARS Buy on Amazon This book really blew me away when I first read the synopsis. It took me just seconds before I decided to purchase this book and drop the books I had planned to read at the time. I was hooked on the idea. What an interesting, clever idea. Since I was in the mood for something different than what I had been used to read, I bought this book with high expectations and excitement I hadn’t felt for a while. What is it about? Matt and Jacob Adams are identical twins. At his brother’s wedding, Matt is forced by his father to go find his brother, which is the groom, since the wedding is […]
