Top Seven Series I’ve Been Meaning To Start But Haven’t Yet

The Marked Men series by Jay Crownover This book has been one of my TOP series I’ve been planning to read soon. I read the recently published book by this author, Riveted, and loved it. I love the author’s writing so I cannot wait to start this series as soon as possible. It has got lots of awesome reviews.       Elements of Chemistry series by Penny Reid This series is one of the old series that I’ve purchased right after the third book published but then somehow forgot about it. One of the bloggers recently reminded me of this book.    Never, Never series by Colleen Hoover & Tarryn Fisher These two authors are in the list of my one-click author but somehow I forgot to read this series. They’ve been sitting on my kindle for a while and every time I was about to read them I got distracted by another one. I need to as soon as possible though.    Mercy Thompson Series by Patricia Briggs This author is a totally new author to me but I am SO curious about […]

Six Most Anticipated Books For The Second Half of 2017

Have you had books that you are most anticipated and hoping to be released sooner than their actual publication dates? Well, I have. Waiting is one the things I hate especially when it comes to books. I think most bookworms can relate to this as well. It is such torture to have had to wait for the sequels of the series you LOVE. I have six books that I cannot wait to read. The Clover Chapel & The Lucky Heart (Jamison Valley #2 & #3) by Devney Perry I loved the first book, The Coppersmith Farmhouse, in the series and lucky for me, the second book, The Clover Chapel, will be released tomorrow and the third one, The Lucky Heart, will be later this year. So I’ll be able to read the second one tomorrow and the third one in the near future. 😀 The Difference Between Us (Opposites Attract #2) by Rachell Higginson I fell head over heels in love with The Opposite of You and can’t wait for this book. July 25 cannot come sooner. I am dying to read Ezra […]

Book Recommendations for Mothers on Mother’s Day

Have you thought about what you will give to your mothers on Mother’s Day? My mother does not love reading and she is extremely picky when it comes to things. She didn’t like the gifts my sisters and I gave so it is difficult for us to give her anything. It doesn’t mean that she’s never appreciated our gifts. She is but she loves buying her own things since she knows what fits and suits her more than anyone else. We finally decide to give her vouchers to her favorite stores. What about you? If your mother is like us, a bookworm, and reading is one she is very passionate about, I have some book recommendations that you can consider AND a giveaway ($250 Amazon Gift Card or Paypal) for your option. She can buy plenty of books or things she wants. Recommended Books for Mothers: Here is my list of latest favorites that I think your mom would love. They are all romance books but not dark or have sensitive contains. If your mother loves these kinds of books, you might […]

5 Reasons Why I Don’t Judge Books by Their Covers

5 Reasons Why I Don’t Judge Books by Their Covers

First of all, let me tell you that I LOVE book covers. This piece of writing does not mean to say that I don’t like book covers. Not at all. I enjoy looking at them and even lusting after gorgeous male models and hot couples on covers MANY TIMES. It is not just about the male models but the combination of colors in a cover that pleases my eyes, especially if the cover really represents the genre and theme of the book. You might instantly know what you are going to get out of a book only by looking at its cover and it is a great experience. Why don’t I judge books by their covers? 1. Most of my favorite books in the past did not have great covers. I remember the first time I fell in love with romance books after discovering Twilight series and Fifty Shades of Grey series. I fell head over heels in love with the stories, and most of them do not even have fancy covers like the majority of books nowadays. They have […]

Things that Make Me WANT & NOT WANT to Read a Book

Things that Make Me WANT & NOT WANT to Read a Book

This is an interesting topic to share not only what kinds of books I love but a little bit about myself as well. What are the things that make me want to read a book and discourage me from reading it? I’ve been thinking about this topic in the last week and, interestingly, I’ve kind of gotten to know myself better in the process: be honest about what I love and embrace it. Some of you may already have a  glimpse of what I love in books from the lists of books that I’ve read, enjoyed, and reviewed on this blog, but I want to explain it specifically. Things that make me WANT to read a book: 1. When an author says “this book is not for anyone” (dark, taboo, forbidden romances). Yep, I love unique, provocative, unconventional books that push all my boundaries and make me question things. I’m a huge fan of dark, taboo, forbidden romances. I may not agree with a lot of things in the stories, but I love some of the messages behind them and […]
