Reading monthly recap

Hi everyone, we are back again with a monthly recap. How are you? I hope you had a great month in July and are having an awesome weekend. I had a great month and am hoping that I have another one this month, reading wise. I pretty much enjoy all of the books I read last month. One of them is even a five-starred read. Although some ARCs didn’t work for me, I had an awesome reading month in July overall.

Here are the posts of last month. If you haven’t read them yet, please check them out.

Book Reviews:

The Brightest Sunset by Aly Martinez The Difference Between Us by Rachel Higginson The Opposite of You (Opposites Attract Series Book 1) by [Higginson, Rachel]  The Knocked-Up Plan by Lauren Blakely

New Feature “Recommend Me Books”:

As some of you have known, I have a new feature called “Recommend Me Books” in which we can recommend our favorites. I will choose a different theme or genre each week, so I hope everyone can join in. This feature is my way to collect great books for me to read and also as a way to help fellow readers find their next reads. Thank you so much to those who have participated. I hope you can participate every week.

We have already had two posts so far, Romantic Suspense and Romantic Comedy. Our tomorrow’s theme/genre is our favorites of Adult Paranormal/Urban Fantasy. I’m currently working on it and will hopefully post it sooner. In the meantime, please check out these two below. There have been a lot of new recommendations added.

Original feature on Geybie's Book Blog Recommend Me Books - Romantic Comedy

  1. The Anne Bishop books must be really good, because I’ve been seeing them a lot. I’m going to have to look into them, I always enjoy a good paranormal. Looks like you have a great reading month ahead you, I hope you enjoy them all. Have a wonderful day Geybie 🙂

  2. You read some great books this month. I read Jilted as well I thought it was OK. I added the darkest sunrise to my TBR on your recommendation. I did the same a while back with the A Zaverelli books and read all four books in that series available as they where so good I also got my best friend to read them lol. Thanks for the great recommendations!

  3. You had a great reading month. I read Jilted to and thought it was OK. I downloaded The Darkest Sunrise on your recommendation. I did the same with A Zavarelli’s series and devoured them and i got my friend to read them. I love your recommendations!

yup I hear you about the ARCs. I think only about half of the ARCs I request work for me Ooooohhh on my way to check that Adult Paranormal/Urban Fantasy post!

  5. Glad you had such a good reading month! My July was also awesome, books-wise. I’m on a short vacation now, hoping to finish quite a few books this week, we’ll see how it goes 🙂

  6. I love the idea of your new feature, though I don’t actually have any recs for those those genres but I’ll keep an eye out for future ones! Also, I’ve never read any Anne Bishop but I keep seeing those books everywhere and am intrigued!
I hope you enjoy them! Have a great week! 🙂

  7. I like the look of the Perry books. Ah – forgot to look at my romantic comedy titles last week. But I can add to this week’s paranormal series. Hope this is a good week. Happy Reading!

  8. Also – I think the Study/Soulfinder Series by Maria V. Snyder might fall under this category. Magic, assassins, wonderful romance and adventure.

  9. You are sure building up some great resource posts for us when we are looking for something new to read. I loved Until it Fades, one of my favs of July.

Can’t wait to see what you think of Anne Bishop’s books. I just bought God-Shaped Hole on sale this past week. I have heard great things about it.

  11. Even though some books didn’t work out for you, it looks like you still found some good reads for the month. I am loving your recommend me feature!! Its so fun looking back at certain genres and what I love the most. Hope August is going to be a good month for you.
