Recommend Me Books – High or Epic Fantasy

This genre is one of the genres I have NEVER read. I know it’s crazy considering how popular the books and the movies of this genre are. I was trying to give this genre a try but, honestly, I didn’t know which ones I supposedly started so I gave up. The two genres that I normally read are romance (contemporary and paranormal but mostly contemporary) and mystery but I am eager to try new ones–the ones that are out of my comfort zone or what I am used to. I always said that I loved to push boundaries when it comes to reading; however, when I thought of it, there are many genres that I actually haven’t touched yet and it frustrated me since my curiosity was high but I had no idea which one to start. Moreover, there was a fear that I wouldn’t enjoy them. I’ve been afraid that this genre would be too highly imaginative for me. In short, I’m curious about this genre and desperately NEED YOUR HELP. Please recommend me your favorites. Just in case you haven’t […]

Book Review – The Lucky Heart (Jamison Valley #3) by Devney Perry

Genres: Adult, Contemporary Romance Standalone or Series: Standalone (part of a series) Published on: August 15, 2017 Pages: 350 POV: Dual first person POV Source: Publisher (Inkslinger PR) Rating: 4.5 STARS Buy on Amazon Devney Perry is one of the new to me authors that has become one of my top favorites. The Lucky Heart is the second book I read by her after falling in love with her Coppersmith Farmhouse. While this can be read as a complete standalone, I suggest you read the first two before diving into this story. Each book in the Jamison Valley series follows a different couple but interconnected with the others. This story follows a woman named Felicity who was forced to come home after 16 years. The sudden passing of her ex-boyfriend two years ago had triggered the change even though she had to face her past—the one she had been trying to get away from for fourteen years. Two years later after considering everything, she finally decided to move permanently in her hometown for his mom and the fact that she has been unhappy living in a big […]

Book Review – Blind Date by Bella Jewel

Genres: Adult, Romantic Suspense Standalone or Series: Standalone Published on: August 1, 2017 Pages: 287 POV: First person POV Source: Purchased Rating: 3.5 STARS! Buy on Amazon Blind Date was the answer to my longing for mystery/thriller stories. I was a huge fan of that genre and I’m starting to miss them. This has the elements of suspense and thriller that would keep you on your toes. A standalone book about a serial killer who targets the women who have lost their beloved ones. I’ve been watching her for a while. She’s not like the weak willed women I’ve played with in the past. I have to take this slow, break her into tiny pieces before I attack. Hartley Watson. I’m coming for you. Hartley Watson is a widow who lost her husband four years ago. After having been forced by her best-friend for months to move on and start dating again, she finally agrees to do blind dates with three different men, all of whom are her best-friend’s choices. The first two dates end up not she expected; however, the third one, Jacob, is exactly what […]

The only series I finished so far is: Twilight (Book 1) New Moon (Book 2) Eclipse (Book 3) Breaking Dawn (Book 4)     Please, share your TOP favorites. What are your favorite Young Adult Paranormal and Urban Fantasy books? 😀 Talia at Red Hot Ink: I have 4 I would recommend: Hush Hush series by Becca Fitzpatrick. Buy on Amazon WOW… I cannot say enough how in love I was with Ripple Effect. It was BEYOND AMAZING! I discovered this book last week when I was listing the new releases for my latest book news post. The blurb was calling my name SO hard that I couldn’t ignore it. It is a complete standalone book that will keep you reading in one sitting. Trust me! This is one of the best books if you are a fan of dark contemporary romance. The suspense is awesome as well, so it is perfect for romantic suspense fans. I could not tell you enough how excited and grateful I was when Kim from Caffeinated Book Reviewer (thank you!) gave me this for review since I have been planning to try audiobooks for months. Before I elaborate what I think and feel about this audiobook, let me tell you what the story is about first. The story follows a nursing student named Evelyn who is also a part time waitress to support her school. While she enjoys her job, she keeps to herself while working most of the time. She doesn’t make friends and always avoids social gathering with her co-workers. Everyone thinks she is weird and she doesn’t do anything to prove them otherwise. Deep inside, she is lonely but her painful past keeps coming, […]
