WEEKLY RECAP - Geybie's Book Blog

Hi, everybody, how are you? I hope you are having an awesome weekend and have a wonderful week. Last week was a busy one but I enjoyed the books I read. I also got the book I’ve been looking forward to, so it was one of my favorite weeks. I hope you’re enjoying the books you’re currently reading.

As I said in the last week’s weekly recap, I have a new feature called “Recommend Me Books” in which I share my favorites so far and ask you to share yours as well. Each week I’ll pick a different theme. The reason I started it was because I love getting recommendations from other bloggers and readers and always look for them. So I thought “why don’t make a special feature so everybody can read it too?” A feature where we all can share our favorites and help others find their next reads through our recommendations.

Last week’s “Recommend Me Books” theme was Romantic Suspense books. I got a lot of awesome recommendations and was introduced to a lot of new great authors. Thank you to those who have participated. You can still recommend your favorites if you haven’t yet and for those who have, you can still recommend the new ones. Here is the last week’s post.

I’ve just posted a new “Recommend Me Books” and this time it is about comedy romance books. I hope you come to the post and recommend me your favorites. I would like to add yours to the post! Please, recommend me your favorite romantic comedy books! Click the picture below to go to the post. 😀

Please come to check them if you haven’t yet.

I enjoyed The Difference Between Us by Rachel Higginson. If you haven’t read any of her books, I recommend her Opposites Attract series.

Books I’ve just got and am currently reading/listening:

Yesterday I purchased The Darkest Sunrise and The Brightest Sunset by Aly Martinez and am currently reading the first book. I’d been waiting for the second book to be released before jumping in. I also got an ARC of The Lucky Heart by Devney Perry that I can’t wait to start and the audiobook of Once Perfect by Cecy Robson from Kimberly at Caffeinated Book Reviewer  that I’m currently listening to (thank you, Kim). I’m loving them both so far. Check them out! 🙂

  1. I have to admit I’m not much into romance novels, but enjoy stopping by your blog and reading your posts. Maybe, I should be asking you for reading suggestions to get me started on romance. I love this idea of the blogosphere recommending books. Perhaps I’ll try this on the off chance I get caught up with my TNT.

  2. I’m really loving your new feature! It definitely helped me find some new romantic suspense books to add to my TBR! I’ve been debating buying The Darkest Sunrise so I’ll be curious to hear your thoughts on it. It looks fantastic! Happy reading, and have a fantastic week! 🙂

    Have a great weekend!

Yay! It’s always fantastic when you get a book you’ve been dying for!
Glad it was a good reading week, even if you were very busy. Hope this week is calmer and you get to relax a bit 🙂
I can’t think of any books to recommend to you at the moment, but I’ll think on it.
    Have a lovely week, Geybie!

  8. I do enjoy Aly Martinez, I haven’t read this series yet. I’ll have to add it to my list. Enjoy your reads this week and have a wonderful day Geybie 🙂

  9. Enjoyed your romantic suspense post – such a variety and I do enjoy that genre quite a bit. One I am particularly addicted to is Marie Force’s Fatal series – about the same couple and so good.

    • Thank you for the recommendation, Kathryn. I’ll add it to the post. Yay, glad that you enjoyed that post. The recommendations have been amazing! I can’t wait to try some of them. They all look awesome. 😁

  10. Really nice new books. The Martinez pair look really intense romantically. And I like the sound of The Lucky Heart.
I hope you enjoy all of your reading!

  11. Going to check out some the books you mentioned because I’ve been reading YA Fantasy for months now. I’m finally ready to get back to reading romance books. I’ve missed them so much.
