Weekly Recap

Hi everyone, how are you? I hope you had a wonderful week and are enjoying the weekend. As you know I’ve just got back from a mini vacation to my hometown. I had an amazing time spending with my family. We even had some mini trips which made it even more fun. Thank you for all your comments last week. I read each one of them but the circumstances preventing me from replying right away. I missed you all so much.

Last week on the blog:

Last week was not a great week, reading-wise. I read two books I didn’t enjoy. They weren’t as good as I hoped. However, I’m glad I read two books last week considering I just got back. I even managed to write Weekly Recap and Latest Book News. I was just kind of behind with blogging in general. I missed talking to you guys.

Books I’ve just purchased:

I’ve just purchased some books and can’t wait to start them. Two of them are by my favorite authors that I’ve been waiting for a few weeks since they were announced, Dear Aaron by Mariana Zapata and My Roommate’s Girl by Julianna Keyes, and Buttons series by Penelope Sky which recommended by my friend Patty @ Moohnshine’s Corner.

Book I’m currently reading:

I’m reading book one of the Buttons series and loving it so far. I’m in the mood for a dark, contemporary romance with a suspense. I missed the books similar to the amazing Boston Underworld series by A. Zavarelli. If you know another series that’s similar to these two, please recommend me. 😀

Glad you had a great trip and visit! Always nice to get back home. I hope your reads this week are good. 🙂

  2. I’m sorry you had a bad week! It’s a new week coming and hopefully it will be awesome. I loved My Roommate’s Girl. You should try Keyes’s adult books too, if you haven’t! Her NA has been amazing but the first book of hers that I read was Time Served and I loved it a lot. I hope you enjoy all of your new books!

Have a fabulous weekend, Geybie. =)

    Check out my STS post!

I am so glad you had a nice time on your trip. There is always so much to catch up with when you get home. Sorry you had a week of not so great reads but hopefully this week will be much improved. Enjoy!

  4. I’m sorry that your reading week wasn’t wonderful, but at least you can say that you had a fabulous vacation. I’m interested in seeing what you think of the Buttons series. I’ve never heard of them before, but the covers are beautiful. Have a good week, and happy reading! 🙂

  5. Welcome back Geybie! Good to hear you had a nice trip.
Sorry to hear the two books you’ve read weren’t as good as you hoped. I’ve been having the same thing.. I read two books and they were just.. mwah.. Hopefully our books will be better this week! 😀
Have a great week and happy reading.

  6. Glad you had a great trip. One think I learned blogging and you can never catch up, you just have to move forward! 🙂 It will all work out and you will be back into the groove. I have been having a rough time the last few weeks reading, I think I need to get back into the books I want to read instead of have to read. Glad a new COYER challenge is running because that always gets me in a reading mood!:)

Have a great week, Geybie! Welcome Back and Happy Reading!

    • Thanks for the advice, Michelle. I’ll keep it in mind. I’m planning to just read books I know I will enjoy. I’m not limiting my requests of ARCs and doesn’t excepts review requests unless I love the author. Last week wasn’t a good week, reading wise. I learn my lesson. 🙈

  7. Vacation typically kills my reading as well but it’s usually worth it! 2 disappointing books are never good but it sounds like you might be getting back on track? Have a great week!

  8. Glad you had a good mini break and sorry to hear that at the same time it prevented you from blogging and such, but hopefully this week will be better :). Some awesome new books you got there! Can’t wait to read your reviews, especially the one you’re reading now and My roommate’s Girl.

  9. Oh my! I can’t wait to hear your review of Penelope Sky’s books. It’s been in my wishlist for quite a while now, so hopefully after reading your thoughts, I could finally purchase them 🙂
