Ooh it looks like you’ll be reading a lot of great books in April. I hope you are feeling better! I feel like I read a lot of books in March; I’d have to look at Goodreads for the exact number. At any rate, I’m using April to get on top of all these ARCS I need to get through. After April, hopefully I can read more of my own books.

    • Yes I will, Lauren, and I can’t wait to start each of them. All of them is calling me hard. I need to finish The Others series first, though. I’m enjoying them so far.
Oh so happy to hear that you read lots of books in March. I don’t receive a lot of ARCs this month. I need to finish the ones I purchased first otherwise it’ll be overwhelming. I hope you manage to read all the books you’re planning to read this month, and even more. ๐Ÿ˜€
      Have a great weekend!

  5. oh it looks like you have been having a wonderful reading month!!! And yay for picking up UF….I haven’t read too much in this genre but I have read some and some I like and some I don’t. Glad you are enjoying Anne Bishop, she is an author on my list. I do think you would really love Illona Andrews. I am so so HAPPY to see Devil in Spring on your list, I do hope you pick that one up soon because I can’t wait to see what you think of it. Hope April is a wonderful month for you.

    • Thank you, this month is going to be great. I can taste it already. This is one of the best months, reading wise. Lots of great books to read. I can’t even choose which one to read next since all of them is calling my name loud. Haha.. can you believe it?
Oh since you mention it, I’m curious about Illona Andrews. I haven’t read any books by her. Thanks for recommending her to me. I’ll stalk her. ๐Ÿ˜‰
      Have a great weekend. ๐Ÿ˜€

  6. jpschaper

You DID have a great reading month, Geybie, even if you didn’t read as much as you’d have liked. Do we ever read as much as we’d like?!? LOL And it looks like you have some great reads on tap for April. I can’t wait to see what you think as you continue Bishop’s series. You have some nice looking contemps on your list as well. Ooo, I hope you enjoy Reisz’s book. I’ve heard good things. ๐Ÿ™‚ Happy reading and enjoy your weekend!!

    • Ahh you’re right. There is nothing like “I’ve read enough books.” I’ve been feeling it for a while. It’s frustrating, though. I want to read like a hundred books a month, which is impossible. LOL.
Yes, I can’t wait to start Reisz’s. OMG, I have no idea which one to start after I finish The Others series. Hehe. Help! ๐Ÿ˜€
      Have a great weekend! ๐Ÿ˜€

Have a great week and happy reading!

  15. Looks like you are well out of your contemporary romance groove ( one I like myself) and really into the urban fantasy. I adored Anne Bishop’s series, just finished her most recent on audio which was excellent.

  16. I am pea green that you were able to read and review so many books this month! I’m sorry to hear you haven’t been feeling well and hope you get better soon.

    • Thank you so much. I’m feeling much better now. Oh, They’re not as many as I hoped since my goal is 12 books a month, but I’m ok with it. I hope this month is much better.

Sorry you haven’t been feeling well and that it messed up your reading goal somewhat. But yay, that you are trying new things in your reading and liking it. The Others series is on my list to try, too. And yes, I want The Chosen when it releases.

Hopefully April will be a better month even though this one looked pretty good, too.

  18. Kathy Martin

If you are just starting urban fantasy, Anne Bishop is an excellent place to begin. Have you read the rest of Patricia Briggs’ Mercy Thompson series? Silence Fallen is somewhere around #10. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

    • I haven’t read any of Briggs’ Mercy Thompson. I’ve just purchased the Silence Fallen. I’m planning to read the previous books before jumping in this book. Anyway, thanks for stopping by. Have a great week. ๐Ÿ˜€

  19. Wow, so many books to be currently reading!! I have to cap it at 6. Venom & Ecstasy looks really good – it’s great to get out of your comfort zone!

  20. So many great books! I just recently finished listening to Written in Red on audio and enjoyed it so much! I just downloaded the audio version of Murder of Crows from my library’s app and I’m excited to dive back into the story. I’m also hoping to get to The Night Mark very soon. And I’m super excited for Until it Fades!

    Tanya @ Girl Plus Books

I think start with the books that I’ve already read will be perfect. Yay, I CAN’T WAIT to read The Night Mark. Lots of great books to choose this month! So excited. ๐Ÿ˜€

  21. Hope you are feeling better! I never can read when I’m sick either though I really wish I could. I haven’t read any urban fantasy but I’ve been wanting to try it. The closest I’ve gotten was Cinder which I loved! Blogging is dangerous for the TBR because it does push you outside your comfort level which means there are even more books to read! Have a great week!

    • Thank you, Katherine. I’m feeling better now. Yes, it’s tough to read when you’re not feeling well. It’s affected my reading progress. Anyway, I hope you have a great week. Thanks for stopping by. Happy reading. ๐Ÿ˜€

  22. Hi – I hope you are feeling better. You still had a good month and I see several titles/authors that I have added to my TBR list. You have a great, full line up for April! I have Silence Fallen on my mp3 to listen to soon. I am wrapped up in Confluence right now – love this military space series. I’ll be checking some of your reviews. Have a great reading week!

  23. I’m so thrilled you are enjoying some UF! That’s awesome! I really want to try that Anne Bishop series – it looks so good!

12 books a month is a pretty incredible goal! I hope you manage to get there this month.

Hopefully I’ll be all caught up soon and won’t be a week late in visiting blogs! Thanks for carrying on visiting mine!!!

  24. danielle hammelef

I’m happy to hear you’re feeling better. Even sick, you read a lot of books! And 12 books is an amazing goal to reach. I haven’t read any of the books on your list and most are new to me so i’ll have to check them out, especially your favorite.
