Favorite Series – Stage Dive Series by Kylie Scott

This series is one of my all time favorite rock star series that I highly recommend. Kylie Scott successfully delivers a phenomenal rock star romance series that has stayed with me long after I finished reading. I cannot recommend this series enough. About Book 1: Waking up in Vegas was never meant to be like this. Evelyn Thomas’s plans for celebrating her twenty-first birthday in Las Vegas were big. Huge. But she sure never meant to wake up on the bathroom floor with a hangover to rival the black plague, a very attractive half-naked tattooed man in her room, and a diamond on her finger large enough to scare King Kong. Now if she could just remember how it all happened. One thing is certain, being married to one of the hottest rock stars on the planet is sure to be a wild ride. Book Review – Raw Deal (Larson Brothers #1) by Cherrie Lynn

Genres: Adult, Contemporary Romance Standalone/Series: Standalone (part of a series) Published on: January 24, 2017 Pages: 259 Source: Purchased Rating: 3.5 STARS Buy on Amazon I have read this author’s other book, Rock Me, and I loved it. I purchased this book not long after it was published. Overall I enjoyed this book. Before I elaborate further, let me tell you first what this book is about. The story is about family, loss, love and forgiveness. It starts with a sudden, heart-breaking loss of Savannah’s brother Tommy Dugas who was a UFC fighter. The conflict arises when the man who was the cause of her brother’s death, Michael Larson, came to the funeral. However, to her surprise, after talking several times and starting to get to know each other, she learns that he is not who she was thinking about. As they get closer, they cannot hide their attraction to each other. Savannah then has to decide whether she wants to be loyal to her family, who still cannot forgive Mike for what happened to Tommy, and set aside her fear of the […]

Book Review – Egomaniac by Vi Keeland

Genres: Adult, Contemporary Romance Standalone/Series: Standalone Published on: January 14, 2017 Pages: 289 Source: Purchased Rating: 4 STARS Buy on Amazon This book is exactly what I was in the mood for. It is hilarious and refreshing at the same time, with a great combination of comedy, a little angst and plenty of emotional touches toward the end. It made me smile, laugh and in an emotional state that I always wanted to experience in reading a love story. What is the story about? It is about a single, workaholic man and woman that seem to not have a thing in common. He is a successfully divorced attorney, she is a marriage counselor. He is a realist, she is an idealist. He doesn’t believe in serious relationships and marriages, she believes in romance and marriages. But one thing they have in common, aside from their physical attraction to each other, they both always make each other laugh and they both enjoy each other company. Have I said I laugh and smile most of the time? Yep. This story had grabbed me from the […]

Book Review – Under Locke by Mariana Zapata

Genres: Adult, Contemporary Romance Standalone/Series: Standalone Published on: January 19, 2014 Pages: 497 Source: Purchased Rating: 4.5 STARS Buy on Amazon My first introduction to Mariana Zapata’s writing was through The Wall of Winnipeg and Me. Later at the end of last month, I devoured her Wait For Me and Kulti, and I was again hooked. I’d fallen head over heels in love with her writing, characters, and stories. That is the reason I decided to read her previous books, started with Under Locke. Guys, she is amazing!!! I got the same feelings. A lot of people can write, but Mariana Zapata CAN WRITE and an amazing story-teller. What is the story about? It follows the journey of a girl named Iris who has to move from Florida to Austin because she is broke. Her step-brother offers her a job at his best friend’s tattoo shop. The problem is that his step-brother and her new boss are the members of a Motorcycle Club where his father was once a member of and the kind of place her mother had not wanted her to be part of […]

Favorite Series – Sinners On Tour Series by Olivia Cunning

This series is one of my favorite rock star romance books that I highly recommend. Each book in this series can be read standalone because it follows different couple story, but the stories are interconnected. Favorite Series – Collide Series by Gail McHugh

I highly recommend this series for those who are in the mood for love triangle, angsty romance books. This series has to be read in order since each book is not standalone. But first, please prepare yourself, ok, ok, I’ve warned you. 😉 About Book 1: A missed first encounter… Colliding with a second chance… On the heels of graduating college and trying to cope with her mother’s death, Emily Cooper moves to New York City for a fresh start. While harboring secrets of his own, Dillon Parker takes care of Emily through her grief. Knowing he can’t live without her by his side, he’s sweet, thoughtful, and everything Emily has ever wanted in a man. Until she meets Gavin Blake—a rich and notorious playboy who is dangerously sexy and charming as hell. Recovering from his own painful past, Gavin will stop at nothing to win Emily over. This unexpected encounter compels Emily to question her decisions, […]

Book Review – It’s You (It’s You #2) by Katy Regnery

Genres: Adult, Paranormal Romance Standalone/Series: Standalone Published on: January 17, 2017 Pages: 258 Source: Purchased Rating: 3 STARS Buy on Amazon This book follows the story from the earlier book, that’s why we need to read the previous book (book 1) before jumping into this one. I grabbed this book right after it was published because I couldn’t wait to see what would happen to Darcy and Jack. You can read my review of the previous book here. So, what about it? I might be in the minority here. I didn’t enjoy this book as much as I did the previous book. The previous one was not perfect, I did have some problems with it, but this one had taken it to another level and I could not ignore it. Let me elaborate the factors that made me turn off first before I explained what I loved about this story. First, I still could not connect with Darcy, which is the heroine. It was hard to even finish this book because of her. I find that her reaction was too much and she was kind […]

Favorite Series – Love in English Series by Karina Halle

This series is one of my ALL-TIME FAVORITE angsty romance books. I highly recommend this story for those who love angsty, love triangle romance, especially if you are in the mood for this kind of theme. 😉 This series has to be read in order, not standalone, since it follows the same characters. About Book 1: He’s thirty-eight. I’m twenty-three.  He speaks Spanish. I speak English. He lives in Spain. I live in Canada. He dresses in thousand-dollar suits. I’m covered in tattoos. He’s married and has a five-year old daughter. I’m single and can’t commit to anyone or anything. Until now. Because when they say you can’t choose who you fall in love with, boy ain’t that the f*#king truth. To a restless dreamer like Vera Miles, it sounded like the experience of a lifetime. Instead of spending her summer interning for her astronomy major, she would fly to Spain where she’d spend a few weeks teaching conversational English to businessmen and women, all while enjoying free room and board at an isolated resort. But while Vera expected to […]
